Finding definitions of words

You can find definitions of terms, whether words or phrases, in the following ways.

1. Type what is before your term.

Google will return results with extracts from definitions and links to full definitions on different reference websites.

2. Use the define: search operator.

It is better to enclose phrases in quotes, even though many of them return the same results without quotes.

The define: operator cannot be used with other operators or search terms.
